Hello,
I got this mower financed less than a year ago with my tractor purchase and now I'm finding out what I really needed was a rotary cutter instead. My salesman at first told me that Deere Credit wouldn't touch it as a trade. That sounded funny to me so I called deere credit myself. They said sure it's done all the time. So what's the problem with my dealer then??? I called him back up and told him what they had said and only then did he agree to have a look at my mower for the trade in value. He said $1000 would be all he could do on it. What do you guy's think?

How much new? How was it used? What condition is it in? What do the blades look like?
R-U trading for a new cutter or a used? ....

The Grooming mower brand new was $1700. It has less than 30hrs total mowing on it. It's in great condition. Well taken care of, sheltered, no problems what so ever. It still cuts as good as when I first got it. I wanted to trade for a JD MX6 rotary cutter. Salesman said $1000 would be all he could give. For a JD mower less than a year old I thought maybe between $1200-$1500 wouldn't be to high.

What's their bottom line on the MX6, with the trade? They have quite a bit of wiggle room on MX6. If not look at another color. ....

That's what pissed me off. The sales guy comes out with a $2800 price for the MX6. Says "do you really want to pay a $1800 dollar difference". That told me he didn't want to work with me anymore so I left. Way more cash than even the JD configurator has it at and that's with safety chains.........
